Online Update

The online edition of THE HERETIC, published by HappyHacker.org on 5/31/2000, is up to seven hundred thousand page views and climbing.

Many originally thought that the traffic would quickly run through Happy Hacker's regular visitors and then fade away, but that hasn't been the case. The book has actually added between 15% and 20% to the Happy Hacker site's Web traffic.

New readers are appearing at a regular rate through word-of-mouth, or rather word-of-e. Fans are mentioning it on message boards and in emails, as well as on the Web. Guild membership badges are showing up on sites like this one and this one, inviting others to discover the Guild and the Heretic's hacked pages.

Japan, Denmark, Germany, South Africa, Thailand. The Web has brought THE HERETIC a worldwide readership nearly impossible to achieve on paper.
